RANCH PROJECT

This 1980s ranch home was very outdated and had a lot of walls where they shouldn’t be, resulting in a small, cave-like kitchen. Truly the heart and center of this home, with living space and bedrooms accessible from multiple sides of the kitchen, the goal was to open it all up! Walls were removed, skylights were added and the space was instantly transformed. A modern take on knotty Alder cabinets lends a rustic feel that is contrasted with light, earthy finishes and mixed metals. Functionality was of utmost importance, with an island full of drawers to house the everyday items and a flow that is as conducive to entertaining as it is to wrangling the kiddos while making dinner.
